HostGator.com is the best hosting company I have ever had. I don't care what time of day it is, you can get a real person to help you out. I have been with them since 6 months, and they are outstanding. I have even decided to move my Yahoo! Store over to HostGator because they are so good. If you are wondering about moving to HostGator, go to the website and see how quickly you can find and get technical support. Thay speaks volumes about the company.

I was having trouble with canonical domains and 301 redirects, and I tried everything to get it working. I opened a chat session and started chatting about the issue with a customer support specialist. He took a look at everything and spent about 5 minutes troubleshooting before remedying the situation. He was technically competent, and thought to look at issues that I hadn't. There is always someone competent available to help out, and that is why their support is so great.

"On the 6th of January 2005 was the first anniversary of my sites being hosted by Hostgator. (...)

How it all started: my sites used to be hosted by another hosting company that had a fair reputation on the various hosting forums out there. My own experience with that host wasn't good though. Bottom line is that I failed to heed the early warning signs I received and kept on using them for far too long. To this day, problems with them are still regularly surfacing at WHT.

On the 29th of December 2003 (or was it 30th?) I noticed that the server of my old host was down. One thing led to another (New Year's party in between), my sites were still down 6 days later, even though I was promised multiple times that they will be taken care of.

At that point in time I decided that it was enough. Besides, it was funny (in a not so happy way) to have a site that recommends good hosts, down for so long. Note that I wasn't recommending that host on my site, so the visitors were not mislead. In case anyone is very good at math and wonders where two days are gone from the story, they are the nameservers propagation days.

So, why did I choose Hostgator? Because out of the 13 hosts on my list of Honest Hosts at the time, Hostgator's owner was the (only) one who was truly cooperative when I let him know that his company was listed on my site and he unexpectedly supported my site (whreviews.com) at a time when it was just starting and it was quite far from being the resource it is now."

I've been using HostGator.com since 3 years and they are very good believe their baby plan should satisfy you You can install a message board (phpBB) with few clicks from your Control Panel. Nice to know that you have dropped sitebuilder!! learning how to code is the best practice to create nice and valid sites that really work.

I have been with Host Gator on the Reseller Plan for over 2 years now. I have nothing but the best to say about their service. I purchaced the reseller plan to host several of my own domains and a few of my friends the c-panels and flow of setting things up are very good and easy to use. I give a strong thumbs up to them after dealing with at least 6 or 7 other hosting companies
